Why German

Three reasons people start here.

Career

Open doors in Germany.

Engineers, IT professionals, finance specialists, healthcare workers, hospitality teams. German employers prefer candidates who can hold a meeting in German, not just a CV.

Education

Tuition-free universities.

Most public German universities charge no tuition for international students. B1 or B2 German often unlocks more programs and better student-life experience.

Culture

Read, watch, travel deeper.

Cinema, philosophy, music, design. So much of what shapes Europe was written and recorded in German. Learn the language and the country opens up.

The Method

How we teach, and why it works.

Most German courses front-load grammar charts and back-load speaking. We invert that. Pronunciation comes first, grammar gets revealed as you need it, and you speak from week one.

  1. 01

    Pronunciation first.

The sounds of German are different from English and Hindi. We spend the first two weeks training your ear and mouth, so every word you learn after sounds right.

  2. 02

    Live, not lectured.

Live sessions with a coach who knows your name. Small, personal batches mean every learner gets airtime in every class, not five minutes at the end. Accent and confidence develop together.

  3. 03

    Grammar that sticks.

Cases and articles only show up when you need them, paired with the situation that requires them. You learn the pattern by using it, not by memorizing tables.

Why I am Linguist

What makes us different.

Ten things that shape how we teach, and why learners stay until they reach their level.

  • 01

    Strong grammar foundation

We do not just teach sentences, we build structure. A solid grammar base means you speak correctly and confidently, without hesitation.

  • 02

    Native-level pronunciation

Learn to sound natural, not translated. Focused training on German sounds, rhythm, and intonation, so you are understood and taken seriously.

  • 03

    Real-world communication

From classroom to career. We train you for real conversations, interviews, presentations, and everyday situations in German.

  • 04

    Small batches, personal attention

Small, personal batches mean maximum interaction, individual feedback, and faster progress.

  • 05

    Friendly, supportive environment

No fear, no pressure. Consistent guidance in a space where you feel comfortable speaking and growing.

  • 06

    Structured A1 to B2 curriculum

A clear roadmap from beginner to advanced, each level designed for university, work, and life in Germany.

  • 07

    Recorded sessions for revision

Every session is recorded, so you can revise, practise, and strengthen your understanding any time.

  • 08

    Regular mock tests

Simulated exams that sharpen your performance, reduce anxiety, and prepare you for real test conditions.

  • 09

    Intensive vocabulary training

We train you to think in German, building practical, high-frequency vocabulary for daily and professional life.

  • 10

    Goethe and TELC exam preparation

Focused preparation aligned with Goethe and TELC standards, so you walk into certification with confidence.

The Path

A1 to B2, on a real timeline.

Pick where you are. Each level is its own program with a clear outcome and a Goethe-equivalent assessment at the end.

B1 · Intermediate

The level required for university applications and many work visas. Pass Goethe B1 first try.

Why "I am Linguist."

Portrait of the linguist.

The name is a promise. The linguist behind it has been on a German journey since 2017, with pronunciation learned directly from a native German teacher, and communication sharpened across roles at AXA and Amazon.

I started teaching because every other program I tried treated grammar like a wall. The real wall is confidence. Once a learner trusts their own voice in German, the rest follows.

Goethe and TELC aligned method · German since 2017 · Experience at AXA and Amazon.

Why this exists

Why I built I am Linguist.

Not another academy. A linguist teaching German the way he wishes he had been taught.

My German journey began in 2017. Over the years I built a strong command of grammar, structure, and the nuances of the language, with special attention to clear, accurate pronunciation learned directly from a native German teacher.

Working at global companies like AXA and Amazon showed me what real communication demands, far beyond textbooks. I founded I am Linguist to help students learn German correctly, confidently, and with purpose, opening doors to global education and careers.

Build trust first. The German follows.
Reviews

What students say.

  • B2·Software engineer, Berlin
I cleared my B2 on the second attempt. My interview at the Berlin office was almost entirely in German. The pronunciation drills made the difference.
    Riya, 27
  • B1·DevOps engineer, Stuttgart
I had tried two other German courses before this. The difference is the speaking time. By month three I was holding a daily standup in German.
    Karan, 29
  • B2·Project manager, Hamburg
Real practice, no fluff. I switched from a 12-month app subscription to this in the third month and never looked back.
    Meera, 31
  • A2·Career switch, Bangalore
I started at zero at 33, working full-time. The pace fits a working adult. I am reading children's books in German for fun on weekends now.
